The benefits of joining MEGS

    For specific modules, you will be able to learn in a flexible and convenient way without losing time and money traveling between Universities thanks to state-of-the-art videoconferencing technology. You’ll reduce your carbon footprint too!
  • You will be invited to attend special events, including MEGS seminars, conferences, industrial site visits, summer school programmes and an annual energy recruitment fair.
  • You can participate in competitions and research presentation opportunities to help hone your professional skills (and your CV!) and win valuable prizes.
  • As PhD students you can apply for MEGS Travel Grant worth up to £600 for your conference/seminar

Who can join MEGS?

  • Postgraduate students at the Universities of Birmingham, Nottingham, or Loughborough
  • EPSRC Doctoral Training Centre (DTC/EngD) students
  • Recently graduated PhD's in energy-related disciplines
