Sustainable cities and transport

This module will prepare students to understand the trends in urbanisation and the effects of transport at the city level. There will be an emphasis on understanding transport impacts at the broadest level and will include the use of water, energy, waste and emissions. Participants will consider demographics of cities alongside of various indicators of sustainability and use these various frameworks to gauge variations between cities, and within cities. The module will consider how cities might become more sustainable and what models might be adopted city-wide to decrease impacts.
